Display the correct picture with a choice product

    Hi Stephen

    I have on the shop items with a choice.

    On the product list I display a general picture so the customer can see that this is a choice product.

    For example:
    I sell aluminum digits.
    Then the main picture on the product list is a picture like this.
    ----------
    0 1 2 3 4
    5 6 7 8 9
    ----------
    Now, when the customer click to go to the product detail then the first number, in this case the 0, is the first choice.
    However, the picture left is displaying the total picture, from the product list, and below this picture are all thumbnails of the other digits.
    I expected that the number O would be displayed as the main picture.

    Also:
    When I click a thumbnail, for example 2, then this choice will be displayed as main picture (is good).
    However, when hoovering over this number 2 picture, then the main picture is the enlarged picture, and not the number 2 picture.

    Is it not possible to start with the number 0 picture, ?
    Is it not possible to click a choice and to get the choice picture?

    Hi Ton

    Please read the Gallery section in the Users Manual. You need to make sure the Display order value is the same for the same set of images. For example, if you have 2 unique pictures of a cat and a dog. All images (different sizes) for the cat should have a Display order of say "1" and all images for the dog should have a different Display order of say "2".

    Dear Stephen,

    I have deleted all the pictures and inserted them again.

    When you browse the product list then you see displayed a main picture of all variants together.
    This is to show that this Product has more variants.

    Now, when you select this product in the product list and you navigate to the product detail view, then you see this main picture displayed on top and below this main picture all the thumbnails of the variants.

    -The first variant, is not displayed.
    -Also, selecting another variant will not change the main picture.

    Only selecting another thumbnail will change the main picture.

    questions:
    1. Is it not possible to have the first variant displayed as the main picture?
    2. Is it not possible to select a variant in the dropdownbox and automatic change the selected variant?

    Hi Ton,

    Yes, you can show different images by variant. If you want to show different images based on variants, you should upload gallery images under the Variant tab (not Product tab). You still need to respect the Display Order value for same images of different sizes. Take a look at the example on our demo site. If you click on the color, you'll see the t-shirt image change. (the login/pwd is on the Login page if you want to see how it's configured). Let me know if that works :)

    Hi All,

    YES, It displays ok now.
    As alway, when you find it, then you smack your forehead, because it was not difficult :-)

    I was confused by the property name "Gallery".
    You have more than 1 Gallery.

    - Product Gallery
    - Variant Gallery.

    I thought there was only 1 gallery.

    Anyway, 1 step further !
