All Storefront emails fail

    When I try to do any "email-related" task in Storefront like "Email Receipt" or when any automatic email is supposed to be sent, the email fails and I get an error message like below.

    I have verified that the smtp settings are correct (test email works fine) and I tried setting the smtp user name, the host email, the Storefront email recipient/sender all to the same address (hostmaster@rapidbi.tech) and I still get the same error - the same problem happens with multiple accounts at different levels (i.e. the same error happens when signed on as 'host' or as 'sampleuser', for example).

    I have not modified the email template (any template, in fact) in any way.

    Please let me know what I need to do to address this issue.

    hi

    Can you please make sure the order has a valid Billing and Shipping email addresses? Just to be sure, you can also go to your Configuration > Communication settings and click on the Reset template and Save and then retry.

    Yes, I have verified that both the billing and shipping email addresses are correct; I have also gone into the Configuration>Communication and edited the Order Receipt Email and confirmed that the Email template rule is set to "None" (I don't see a "Reset" option).

    It's become critical that this get resolved, as this is stopping me from turning my web site live - I tried to also do a "Repair Install" and that didn't fix anything. If it matters, I didn't have my DNN SMTP settings configured when I first installed RevIndex, but as I have said I have confirmed all of those settings are set correctly now, both the DNN and RevIndex email settings using the exact same email address (hostmaster@rapidbi.tech), and the DNN test email works fine.

    Your email template rules should not be set to None. They should be set to Basic and Enabled. You need a template, otherwise it won't send any mail.
