Currently, there is no mechanism to regenerate the images because we currently don't keep the originals. Some users have extremely large originals (10+ MB file each that would be prohibitive to store on certain shared hosting systems). As storage becomes cheaper, we'll consider storing the original to allow regeneration in the near future. Meanwhile, you can use the Import gallery feature to bulk re-add the images and it will resize them on import.
