    Hi

Have a questions about bundled products.

Here is the scenario of a product I am trying to create. I am trying to setup a single product to have 8 sizes to order that are all different prices. After a size is selected there will be 9 more options that can either all be selected or not that will increase the price. So after the size is selected and any add on options are selected I will have a total combined price.

Is this possible to create using bundled products?

    Hi,

I think I figured it out using custom fields and price modified as explained here.
    http://www.revindex.com/R...urable-price-product

I have a question about displaying the price modified with the add ons.

Here is my product with the add ons:

Here is my product in the cart with 2 add ons added to the product:

Here is my product checking out:

I want to know if I am able to display the text from the add on along with the price.

    (i.e.)
    "Add Ons:
    Basics Collection 48" W Starter Module $590
    Basics Collection 48" W Add-On Module $440"

    Hi Tim,

If you use custom fields, currently, it will only print the value of your custom field (not the name). This is mainly due to how ASP.NET only returns the value information to us and not enough information to rebuild the page to show the name. In the future, we'll come up with a smarter way to try to reverse lookup the name and print it. For now, you need to rename your value so that it prints as you like it to be.

Alternatively, you can use bundled products to mimic that selection.

    Thanks,

    Stephen,

1 - If I change the values of the custom fields to letters I then loose the ability to increase the value of the price right?

2 - When you use bundled products you are basically adding the ability to bundle multiple products together to make a single product. If we create the add on products that can be bundled they will show up as products that can be order by themselves or is there an ability to not allow that?

    Tim

    1. Nope. You can make it match the value in full text and apply the appropriate price change.

    2. You can simply uncheck that product's Published checkbox to not make it show up, but it will still participate in the bundled product scenario.

    I hope this helps!
