    Hi,

I'm setting up the trial version for the Storefront and I have just good things to say, it soo much easier and well presented than catalook, much more user friendly, I loved the "install" feature, saved a LOT of time..
I have one question regarding the checkout process, we're trying to implement the module in way so the user can make some sort of "submision" rather than a purchase itself... for example, the user is interested in leasing certain articles from a list, in this case, cutlery, dishes, tables, etc; for special occasions (say marriages, special dinners, etc) the user selects what he wants to lease, adds the items to the cart and then on checkout he just sends the submission... there's no payment required, no check, no paypal, no credit card, nothing, we just want to be able to communicate with the customer after he tells us what he wants. We succeded to achieve what we wanted by leaving the "money order" option by default and just doing checkout and such, (btw the template customization is great too) but here's the tricky part...

We want the users to be able to make "submisions" (purchases) without having to be registered in our site, like anonymous. There's an option on the module to allow this, however, everytime we try to make a checkout the module marks an error:

    Unhandled Error

    Error Details

    File

    Error

The operation is not valid for the state of the transaction.

I don't know if it's probably because we're using a trial version or if there's a detail we're missing; if the module gives us the option to make an anonymous purchase it should't be a problem, however there's this error showing up...
We're seriously thinking about implementing this module in multiple websites but we want to make sure it does what we want, so far, so good, as I mentioned before we definitely love the module, and I'm pretty sure this error must be something tiny we're just not seeing...

Thanks in advance! and hope to hear from you soon!

Hi, make sure you have the Distributed Transaction Coordinator windows service running for the current Trial version you're running. It's a standard windows server and allows it to perform transactional operations to protect your database. In the next version v2.0 to be released soon likely end of this week, this requirement is no longer needed and we still get the benefits of transactions.

As for your question, I think what you want is to accept the order without charging payments (a.k.a "purchase order"). You can configure the Storefront > Configuration > Settings under the SalesOrderMethods --> Enable Purchase Order.

    Thanks,
