Make sure to perform a complete backup of your system before starting the installation. Follow the steps outlined below to install the Trial or production software.
- Go to Host > Extensions. Click on Install Extension Wizard. Upload the Revindex.Dnn.RevindexOptimizer.XX.XX.XX.zip package and follow the install wizard instruction.
- Create a new page and add the Optimizer module to the page.
- Enable the optimizer and select a storage type (e.g. choose "Memory" storage) and click Save. You should notice a drastic reduction in your View State size.
If after enabling the Optimizer and you still don't experience any View State reduction, you can force ASP.NET to recompile your site by editing your Web.config file and adding a blank space somewhere appropriate.
